will be released on 26th may in a limited "steelbook".
beside backstage material and jagger interviews, 8 tracks will
be shown in digitally remastered quality. tracklist: midnight rambler,
satisfaction, i'm free, i'm yours, she's mine, jumpin' jack flash,
honky tonk women, love in vain & sympathy for the devil.

What is new about this besides the cover. Aren't those the songs on the DVD that is already out. We need to have the whole show released.

I'm interessted in this. I don't have Stones In The Park(only some crappy VHS) so this will be a nice way to get it.

The AIMS DVD has been due out for about 3 months.

In France, the Hyde Park DVD is announced with over 90 min. of bonus, but the content of the bonus is still unknown

New DVD from Japan

Avex Japan excavates never-before-seen video of "Hyde Park Concert". DVD is put on the market for the first time in the world on July 5.
It contains complete three songs out of five cut in Television Broadcasting 37 years ago.
The performance scene was limited to only nine of 14 songs at the original broadcasting because it had been edited as a documentary program.
Songs to be found are "Mercy Mercy", "Stray Cat Blues", and "No Ecspectations". MC of Mick Jagger between tunes was also included,
and it remained in almost complete shape.
Avex decided this valuable three to be collected to DVD as a privilege image, processed the digital remastar and decided to put it on the market on July 5.
Avex is focusing to find two others from master tapes found in Granada TV.

I just got Hyde Park dvd from France with the 3 extra tracks, an Interview by Manoewuvre and a bonus documentary Rolling with the Stones.And 5:1 audio.

nice! can someone post a link where this new edition can be ordered in Europe, please and thank you?
my usual on-line purveyors still seem to have only the old version.

Great news! Hope they find the two exstra tracks. Would be very cool if one of them was Down Home Girl...and maybe a complete version of Midnight Rambler?

while i'm trying to figure out why that Fnac place charges 26 euro for postage to poland,
maybe someone could let us know more about the bonus documentary, please and thank you very kindly?
how long is it? is it about this gig, or the making of the film, or ... ?
is it in French? are there subtitles? and other trenchant questions. :E

If you decide to order,you may want to add Sympathy for the Devil DVD and B.Jones DVD and cd(from the same site).

... a new edition of Sympathy, with outtakes & extras?! does the bonus stuff include much of the Stones?
and truly, if anyone could say something about the bonus documentary on the Stones in the Park
i'd be really grateful - at least whether it's in French or English or what.
it's not cheap for me, and if i'm better off waiting for a non-French version it would be good to know that.

Toru A, do you know if the Avex dvd is the same as the French release? If it has the documentary too what language is it in?

A nice vault-surprise, this DVD, that's not often.

Well, all I can say now is that nowadays it is unrealistic to think that something coming out somewhere will pop up in any other place soon. Being a full time collector, for instance, I bought the 2cd Stoned Alone by BW in UK just to discover that there is a hidden track(not mentioned) which is not in the USA version,that has different songs altogether!
About our subject the French Sympathy contains 2 versions of the film,an interesting 1968 dociumentary titled Voices (with footage of the Olympic Studios catching fire during Sympathy sessions) and various other bonus.
French Hyde Park I just got it and haven't seen it yet.

sorry to be so obtuse, but is all this in French or ... ?
