Daily Mail says tour will go ahead

This has just been posted online today.... according to Woody's wife, the tour will go ahead but just a little delayed...

Rolling Stone Keith Richards is on the mend and preparing to tour again despite his recent brain surgery, according to the wife of bandmate Ronnie Wood.
Richards underwent the operation after falling out of a palm tree.
The 62-year-old was discharged from a New Zealand hospital last week and is being monitored by doctors as an outpatient.
Jo Wood, wife of Richards' bandmate Ronnie, said the star was recovering well.
"Yes, he had an accident but Keith's as strong as an ox, really he is. He'll bounce back. Keith always does," she told the Evening Standard.
"He's fine and the tour will continue - it just might have to restart a bit behind schedule, that's all."
Richards had the accident while on holiday in Fiji during a break in the Stones world tour.
A spokesman said his operation a "complete success" and he left hospital thanking the "beautiful ladies" who had nursed him back to health.
The guitarist is recuperating in New Zealand with wife Patti Hansen.
An announcement about the rescheduled tour dates is expected soon.

I don't believe the tabs when they give bad news, (i.e. the Sun), but now that the news seems good, I think a tab (this time the Mail) would never ever lie!

She didn't mention the fact that Ronnie's drinking again,
His problem with drink/drugs could also have an effect on the start of the tour.

No fun..but patience is the order of the day.
Even if Keith is basically fine [which many indications support], nothing can be firmly arranged or organised until he gets the medical "green light".
I'm sure that lots of logistical scenarios have been modelled and that the tour will be back on the rails as soon as practicable.
It's hardly in any body's interests to delay longer than necessary is it ?

Its easy enough to get a new date for availability of a stadium

However, finding 4 and 5 star hotel accommodation for about 100-200 people in places like Spain in the middle of the tourist season at a few weeks notice is the trickiest aspect of all I would imagine

Re: Daily Mail says tour will go ahead
Date: May 15, 2006 22:57

They might have to rough it in a 3 star hotel or pitch a tent inside the stadiums.

I've an idea....we could all chip in and,....no, wait - we've no money left because the ticket prices were so high....bollocks, let them slum it in a big tent on the Champs du Mars.....smiling smiley

dont ya love the way theyve conveniently overlooked the fact that less than a week ago they were printing diagrams of the inside of his brain and effectively saying he was going to be left as a vegetable

Lying bastards

I'll probably be blissfully unaware of it as I'll be on holiday in Italy next week

As fate would have it, I've just realised that the name of my hotel translates as "The Palms" in reference to the type of trees that surround it

Gulp!!!
