Let him play Blondies part

Only with Keith's blessing, and how likely is that?

i think the blessing of the prime high water work they did together was that they did it TOGETHER... there WAS a particular chemistry, understanding, and mutual respect and delight...keith was right on top of charlie...mickt was right on top of keith...bill was already there...it was some kind of a crazy tight out of control thing of it's own...
the thing that made both of them so hot was that they were playing with EACH OTHER... to me anyway...
and the only thing that would really be interesting to me, ever, about seeing mickt and keith play together again, would be if they seriously rehearsed a song or two and really went for it together...all 3 git players...(remember mickt and ronnie were friends since 15 years old) really wanting to go for it...not some sloopy guest shite nor certainly mickt 'replacing' keith's parts...
no no no...i don't get that at all.

so i don't see the point, however that would register in the poll.

mick taylor doesn't replace anybody...
mick taylor is best known for the special chemistry that happened when he was one of the basic foundational members of the band for the tours and albums he contributed to as a total ROLLING STONE man...they were as lucky to be with him as vice versa...they BECAME something else together, all of them...together.
it's history.
it's not a fairy tale; it was a real band doing consistent amazing brilliant work, for a time...a good time.
the record shows this.
the record will always show this.
it will be what the general public for decades on will always hear...
along with satisfaction and a few great others.
u can't replace keith.
mickt is mickt and we should all be very thankful for that.

"Never,
Keith IS the Rolling Stones" That`s it! Think, I don`t want to see them without him...that would be really really sad

What have you been smoking? How on earth would MT be able to replace Keith? They are two completely different guitar players. My God, even the thought of hearing the main riff for Satisfaction or JJF with vibrato...

yes agreed...BUT..not that mickt couldn't play rhythm...
his essential riff and rhythm elements are ALL OVER the stones stuff at the time...essential inventive elements everywhere...in tandem with the reefmaster...
and what open-g calls that 'chunka chunka' rhythm on bye bye johnnie on gents...shows what a complete crazy rolling railroad train that guy is on riff and rhythm...yes it's the soaring brilliant stinging mournful hot leads...'the vibrato' and all...
but it's more...

Hey wasn't there some rumor back around 74 that Ronnie would replace Keef (I mean Kif) because Keef might have trouble getting into the USA? The senario would be the same Ronnie playing Keefs parts.

ANyway- its never going to happen but MT joining the Stones as a gust is possible. I belive 100% Bill will join them on a limited basis in Ero.

don't give me that ole one two, one two three four

No-one can play rhythm like Keith does. No discussion. His playing style is so characteristic for the Stones, he is irreplacable. Every suggestion for his replacement is blasphemy.
