the stones do an excellent cover of this song.

I might be getting carried away but it might be one of the best things ive ever heard by them.

to me mr pitiful was one of the highlights of a bigger bang tour....

better than their night time is the right time

one possibility for a great stones album: stones doing stax/volt/atlantic repertoire....i'd be excited to listen to that.. mick still does one of the best don covay impressions around..just like he did in 1964!!!!!!

yeah stoned in DC, Id buy that ablum for sure if they did something like that. They do those songs so brilliantly.
Ive heard thyere releasing the Rio Show on DVD. I hope they add Mr. Pitiful as a bonus track like they did with Can't Turn You Loose on Four fliks.

Yes, it's a very amusing song. Would be nice not to do Night Time Is The Right Time for a few times and play this one again.

The crowd likes Night Time much better. Simple as that.

But Mr. Pitiful sounds much better. Simple as that.

Why stick to playing one of them? They can rotate the setlist a bit like that, one night they do Mr. Pitiful, one night they do Night Time Is The Right Time. Heck, if they feel like it, they can do them both.

Now it's simple as THAT!

Yeah, well, sound great! Why not do that a few more times? Both are solid songs. I'd rather have them then for example Rain Fall Down and Oh No Not You Again.

Agree about ONNYA. (booooring)

disagree about RFD. (sounds great!)

If it was up to the Stones to play something they like rather than something the crowd like then it would be a bunch of blues & soul songs rather than the greatest hits. But it does not work that way. They are on stage to please the crowd and not to please the critics. And by the way, they do love to play the greatest hits too.

Your alright again BV, I remember an intervieuw with Van Morrison, if you play a big stadium you can not play the songs you would/like but play the hits because there are a lot of peolple they won't understand, if you play the little clubs you can.
