From my point of view, the sooner the bloody better. No doubt a lot of other people are gasping for this particular news too.

Monday will be the 15th, a mere 12 days before they would have kicked off in Barcelona. They can't leave it much later than that before making an announcement - can they ???? Gulp, I shudder to think !

I'd would think his health is priority, once thats assurred then the tour will be re-scheduled.

Could be weeks, could be months.... personally I don't care. As long as KR is fine I can always change my plans.....

I would say if the Doctors are willing to give a date when Keith can fly (that's a big IF - if they guess wrong it won't be a good thing) I'd add 2 weeks to that, maybe 10 days) You said care to guess, this is my guess (IMO the flying bit is the most important thing to let you know thing are moving forward). Oh, Paulwauly, you posted this, see, my glass is half full - sounds like nothing but the best news about Keith so far, next hurdle is the healing and then flying - no touring until he can fly...

I'd have to agree that his being granted permission to fly is indeed the next big step in the road to full recovery. I'm obviously "hopeful" that an anouncement is made "reasonably" soon; if it is - great, and if it isn't - I'll live with it. I'm in full agreement with ablett, KR's health is the priority here and not my own personal travel plans - much as I WOULD like to get round to modifying them accordingly.

Its difficult cause of the expectation and excitement of the up and coming gigs. But alot of people here finally realised that the stones are human beings and are fragile. I'm sure the concerts will go ahead eventually but can you imagine the headache (no pun intended) rescheduling must be causing.... especially with KR only just getting outta hospital....

Yeah I know, it must be a bit of a nightmare if the truth be known. I don't envy all those logistics people right now. As for ourselves, difficult as it might be to find, good old fashioned patience is definitely called for here. And you're right, the mounting excitement of seeing them again doesn't help either !!

Considering the fact that they are delaying the announcement. I think that tells us that Keiths situation is very unclear, and that he needs to stay on New Zealand for checkups for a long time. Which means that the tour might be postponed to july for that matter.

No point in guessing.... no-one here has a clue! Sit tight, stay patient and wait and see....

Since all any of us can do is guess at this point then I would say

1. With Keith still in NZ (one report said in a rented house, another said in a hotel) I'd say he'll be having weekly checkups (CAT Scan, MRI, Motor Skills etc) to monitor his progress.

2. He has to be cleared for air travel. Once this is announced then allow 2 weeks before any tour schedule is announced.

3. The band will need to rehearse ( I'd say a 2 hour rehearsal to measure Keith's stamina) at least 3 days before the tour resumes.

4. Finally, my worst scenario guess, the European tour gets scaled back by 50% (the reasoning being Keith will need checkups while he's on the road).

Like I said, all guesses at this point.

So is there any point..... just wait and see.....

Hey Doc, your just kidding comment about the boat might not had been a joke. Sounds like a fantastic idea actually. Gets on a cruise liner with his cabins outfitted with his "out patient" needs and a doctor or two. The time spent on the seas will replace the time spent waiting in NZ for his out patient visits. All risks from flying too soon are eliminated also.

This is very likely.They might know for certain that i is recovering in NZ, but they don't know if he can handle the tour.

No-one know except is docs so give it a few weeks, keep ur fingers crossed and lose the Ocean Liner bull.....

Dont hate me, but my bet is this tour will be completely cancelled. The band will return to play the USA,later in the year, and a much shorter European Tour will take place in 2007, which will be the farewell.

Announcement coming midweek; either start Bergen, Horsens or Göteborg
or no European leg at all in 2006 (early 2007?).
My 50c is on Göteborg at this very moment. Note: Just m y 50c.

My guess? Tour cancelled. End of..

I don't think the Stones want to break up yet, not even Charlie or Mick. That's just my sense based on performances & interviews. They know this (RS) is their real legacy, all the side projects (movies, etc) are like hobbies, outlets for interests/influences/styles that aren't easily integrated into the main career. I do believe Charlie, especially perhaps, doesn't want any more 15 month tours, but if everyone is healthy the kind of time frame they used in the 70s (US June/July, EU September/Oct) might make sense to all of them. Remember the '69 US tour was a mere month long!
Of course what happens to this tour is right now unknowable. To my thinking (speculation), it is possible a rejuvenated/recovering Keith could mean a happier/healthy Stones, but this is just a hope. I hope he gets well and takes care of himself...

I must admit, the postonement of the entire European leg of this tour until 2007 is a very real prospect in my mind. I don't particularly like to think it, don't like to say it out loud either, but I have to say that I do nevertheless consider it a possibility; albeit perhaps a slightly remote one given the fact that the Stones PR machine is currently being pretty insistent that it's going to be "business as normal" other than a few of the early shows being re-scheduled.
