No set-lists to bitch about until May . . . hmm, whatever can we do with ourselves? Oh, I know: RANKINGS! How about some tracks that we really like Charlie's drumming on?

Here are some of mine:

-Rocks Off
-She's So Cold
-Neighbours
-Let Me Go

-Lies (crazy, mean foot-pedal in the last minute)
-Where The Boys Go
-Little T & A (beware of the excellent "break" in the last part.....wise of him to come up with that)

Let Me Go is interesting becasue I was listening to the Buddy Holly song that goes " WEll....Come on come on lets go little darlin" I think its called "Lets Go" & the beat, the drumming, is very similar to Let Me Go.

Everybody needs somebody to love - both the original recording and
of course you just have to watch and hear him play on that in the Four Flicks
DVD.

There you've got Charlie at his best!
Keep on banging away Charlie

Been Stoned since 1964 and still am!

I love him on Gimmie Shelter. I've heard covers of it but nobody can play that beat like Charlie does. Street Fighting Man would also be great.. and ofcourse Get Off Of My Cloud, although the rest of that song is not really one of my favorites.

Wow, he's so essential - helps define the character & feel of so many classics. Faves include 'Monkey Man,' 'Sway,' 'Brown Sugar,' 'When The Whip Comes Down' (several versions), 'Street Fighting Man,' 'How Can I Stop.' And he came back roaring on ABB.

Oh yeah, Brown Sugar. When they play that live nowadays, Charlie gives it that vintage touch. Check it out on Forty Flicks, Twickenham. Awesome stuff!
