I have been trying to get a copy on cd of "Landlocked/Adult child" for a while now. Do you guys have this one? I have the 4 disc Smile sessions box and that is great. I certainly am hoping that Brian does not drop the Wondermints and do a "Pet Sounds Reunion" with Mike Love and Al Jardine. I have heard that this is in talks right now.
As far as Stones go, I would love to hear "Stick Fingers" in mono from the WLP hard to find edition. Were there only 10 copies made?
The Dallas 31-10-81 show was my first Stones show and I got that one so that was my holy grail. I would love to hear more Keith & Tom Waits stuff, a new Keith solo album with Patty Smith (his voice sounds great with chicks!)
As far as other great unreleased stuff goes, I would love to hear *any* live recordings by Arthur Lee and Love from the golden year of 1967. No one will ever get to hear a live show show from Whiskey a gogo.
Oh and how about the complete unedited "Whatever happened to Vileness Fats" on dvd by the Residents. That one is way up there! Or how about a stage production of "Eskimo"?

Forgive my inexperience, lack of technical knowledge, etc. Aren't there both remastered outtakes as well as remastered live recordings?
I'm interested in the best of these. Mick Taylor era for starters.
I will seek more information regarding Mick only doing vocals on Highway Child.
Thanks!
Rockman, That is the exact boot I was talking about. Now, I seemed to have misplaced my copy. Great! Must find this.
don't need to seek more info on MJ with Highway Child - that IS him on guitar - you can take my word on that.
as for "remastered" anything bootleg-wise - it's a a murky world out there. Sister Morphine - the source of your Ft Worth disc - is very controversial in that way. When you're not dealing with original source material, there's not much that ANYONE can do to really improve on the sound. Having said that, I'm generally a fan of SM...they do pretty good work.

I would think that anything that they would release from the vaults would be "good" at the very least as far as sound quality goes.So then, from that point, they would just have to select shows with the best performance.Who's to say that all of these shows that are famous for good sound quality are better performance wise than shows that haven't surfaced?
I'd like to add another personal choice for Holy-Grail of stones --
ANY video footage, obviously the more complete the better,of the Dublin shows from the LICKS extravaganza!
Odd that no DVD bootleg exists of either show -- given the relatively intimate setting(7,000 or so people),and, the slice of history -- that the stones hadn't played here since '82 -- methinks it would've been high on a lot of people's lists as shows to film.
English Summer (don't think it exists though, probably a rumour started by the Marianne Faithfull track of the same name, produced by Mick, from '67)
Everybody Needs Somebody To Love (15 minute studio version)
On film: The Giorgio Gomelski film of them from '63 or '64 doing 3 nos. Brixton '95 (the pro-shot version played at the Convention in '99) NME Awards '68 Complete outtakes for Gimme Shelter Complete outtakes for Stones In The Park (At least 3 extra songs exist & were rumoured to be coming out on a special edition last year) Complete outtakes from Ladies & Gentlemen (I have 2 tracks - there must be more out there!) Colour promo for Child Of The Moon The raunchy outtakes from Performance with Mick & Anita (in Sandy Lieberson's safe apparently)

Right - I remember it being only on tape. That always cracked me up. Thyanks for the other info. Takin'Care Of Business, huh? That, I would love to hear.
Never got to see them with Bob, but I did see them on my 17th birthday at the Ritz (NYC) - general admission, and I ended up right up against the stage. Don't have any non-Slim show to compare it to, but they were hot that night.
Apparently, an old recording of some songs by Mick and Keith's old band (with Dick Taylor etc.) was sold at auction a while ago. That would really be something.
For me it would be the '81 St. Louis show, since that's the only show I attended that I don't have a copy of, and it seems to be about the only '81 show that doesn't have a boot floating around somewhere.

These shows are already available in near mint quality

And since I was there, how about the Winterland shows '72?
AND HOW ABOUT THE COMPLETE ALTAMONT SOUNDBOARD?!?!?!?!
I bet if Keef proves unable to continue, Mick will start releasing these gems every year, in order to rake in even more tens of millions.
In any case, if anyone can find Dallas or Auburn '69, these have to be worth their weight in gasoline!
FYI to everyone: it appears Chicago '69 has been found, and it's a pretty good performance. However, the quality of the recording I have is pitiful. Anyone have something decent?
