After many years field work. There is no point getting lushed. Just enjoy and top up with regularity. Case in point. After drinking 2-3 drinks you feel great. You keep on drinking on the premise that more alcohol = feeling even better. Wrong.

Cindy- I spend lots of time in Boston (will be there on business next week). Any good restaurant recommendations especially in Back Bay and downtown. Good wine list a plus.

Thanks

Nico, Did you mean "couldn't breathe?"

because the way you wrote it means something entirely different.

(I am joking with you, my friend, your English is better than many Americans)

I was thinkning of pointing that out to Nico too.
But I didn't because I make a lot of errrroars too. Just today i realized I had written reminded as "remainded" all the time.
One time in English (at school), I wrote a story about a chef, and the title was "The Cock". Ha-ha!

Innsey, spincey, spider,
snot and bogie pie,
all mixed up with a dead dog's eye
if you want a sandwich
spread it on thick
and swallow it down with a cup of cold sick.

Hangover cure. Works every time.

Yep, drinking too here - a pity that the infamous "I'm Drunk" thread is gone. Well, BV also deleted my thread about the funny video (wich was, as Erik Snow pointed out perhaps not so funny) and I wonder how long this thread will stay - no Stones connection after all winking smiley

Anyway - I'm having a beer now - Stiegl beer, one of Austria's finest. I'm in the middle of a big cooking session with my girlfriend (Gulash - well, actually Gulash-soup, the meal the Hungarians originally call Gulash -it's a science) and later we'll have some Chianti....

I don't give much for hard drinks, I confess - mainly red wine and sometimes beer - that's it for me smiling smiley

Heavy night of it in Reading and London till 7a. Rough total was 16 drinks, each beer a different brand, mostly a variety of cask beers but a Stella or 2 in the mix, 2 double vodka and red bull, and 5 shots. I always make a point to try the local/regional beers.

There's a beer festival in Reading all weekend w/ like 400 beers, 130 ciders, and some other stuff, but it just doesn't sound appealing after last night. Spending today taking it ez, and heading home tmrw.

They just released Heineken Light here in the states...it's not bad. It actually tastes better than the regular bottled Heineken we get here in America, which tends to taste a bit skunky. As for the new light, it's like sparkling water...and you can drink up to 10 of them without catching too much of a buzz. I suppose that defeats the purpose of drinking beer, but on some occasions it's nice to keep on top of things.

When in Britain, I prefer John Smiths. When in Holland, Amstel. When in France, 1664. When at home, I think I'll stick to Stella and Newcastle.
