I'm sometimes known as Steven or bv.

I like to post contrasting points of view just to provoke discussions.

Rob21, I'm very interested in your project. I love the topic. I believe the answer to your question is YES. Check out RS.Com. There are one or two seriously disturbed users over there that have 5 or 6 user id's. They actually argue with themselves, insult themselves, have taken on different personas, etc. Not all multiple id users are seriously disturbed however. The majority who use one or two id's do so for entertainment purposes and you can see how their personality is consistent regardless of what name they are using. This is because they don't have the psychosis to accompany an actual diagonosed case of multiple personality disorder or some type of anti social disorder(s).

And who has the time?

Besides I can barely keep any of you other posters straight, I would never be able to keep up two personalities simultaneously.

It is really true. The internet breeds all sorts of insanity, some harmless and fun and some not. There are those who use multiple user id's for entertainment and then there are those with MENTAL ILLNESS. The mentally ill may not really understand the reasons they do it, are probably only cognizant of it some of the time, and will deny they do it for various reasons associated with their disease.

I know the Internet, and I'm glad I don't have this problem or idea's.

that's not true. I deny that with every fiber of my mentally-ill being.
