It's always importend to take a support act with a different sound, I remember that The Who invited the Golden Earing as support act in the early 70ties. The earing played them of the stage.
Well, Tote Hosen and BAP are quite a good selection, perhaps we could add the german newcomers Wir Sind Helden or Arcade Fire (U-2 used their ballad "Wake Up" as intro for Vertigo, they have made a killer debut album).
"Carlos Del Junco... one of the best harmonica players ever!!! Can't see the connection with the Stones, though! I'd like to hear him anyway!"
Well , Del Junco have his roots deep down in the Chicago Urban blues , the same with Stones .
If we are talking best harmonica players ever , I prefer Paul Butterfield , but he`s not arround anymore . ( Listen forex. to the ass kicking album from 1964 called the Paul Butterfield Bluesband ! )
<s-asla: <Turbonegro would the ultimate support act.
Wouldn't be surprised if they are brought in for some German shows. Think Germany is almost their 2nd home. You can forget them for the sold out shows in Scandiland. Will be some cheap on-the-way-up bands here (don't get me wrong - can be fun).
Wishlist... will not have problems with AC/DC and Pretenders again. And of course George Thorogood.
having heard the new Primal Scream single Country Girl i can't think of anyone better. the thought of bouncing around pre-Stones in the sun to some Scream makes me feel all gooey )
