OT: The Who at the Royal Albert Hall DVD

This benefit show, recorded on Nov 27, 2000, is now being enjoyed by yours truly in DTS 5.1. The band's power is just astounding, and I'm again reminded of what a huge tragedy we all suffered with the death of John Entwistle.

As mentioned in an earlier thread, this is one of the best-sounding DVDs I've ever heard, and it is a joy to watch, listen to and FEEL. Yeah -- rattle the windows with this one.

THE WHO will play in Köln, Germany. on 11. July 2006.
THE Rolling STONES will play in Köln, Germany on 23. July 2006.

My suggest:
THE WHO will play also on 23.July before/with the STONES like AC/DC in 2003.

This would be great !!!!!!!!!!!!

Gerhard from Düsseldorf, Germany

I was at this show in 2000, which unknown to me at the time was the last time I would see John Entwistle in person. It was my only time seeing The Who in London, so I'm glad I got to see them there while John was still alive.

The dvd is good, but sadly missing a couple songs that made it onto the cd of the show. Also missing is Daltrey's talking about the Teenage Cancer Trust prior to the start of the second half of the concert and being heckled by people in the audience. I remember daltrey mentioning he was an Arsenal fan in response to one hecklers comment.

It's a great DVD (especially the sound) but I'd prefer it if it was just them alone without the guest artists.

Live in Boston is my personal favourite even though it has a rougher, harder edge to it.

The Who are still an impressive show despite the loss of John. For proof, trade for:

The Who 7/27/02 Camden, NJ Pro-Shot (1 DVD) A+

This is better than any officially released DVD in the past 20 years.
