I was sent an e-mail from rs.com and it was talking about onstage tickets for Europe. But it had only Paris,Barcelona and few others no Athens there.I think many cities gonna have the ugly stage.

That wouldn't make much sence i think. If they are going to use the "big" stage in cities in Europe why wouldn't they use it in every city?

Cheers,
Wuudy

So it is a 12 hours flight from Milano to Athens? I don't think so. That is when they use the low cost stage. Because that is the only way they can get to those markets without losing money i.e. they would not play there at all. The fact is that Athens is no longer to drive by trucks than many other places in Europe, like Bergen or St Petersburg.

Hello everyone,

I have just registered after years of reading this forum. It's a great way to explore the stones world!!!

I am going to the show in Bergen this summer, and as I read this thread I am starting to fear that the stage in Bergen will be the one used in South America/Australia... Or have I misunderstood? Bjornulf perhaps?

Thank You.

Kalle

No. The same stage will be used in Bergen as in all of Europe.

I was under the impression money and economics wasn't a factor as far as the Stones tour is concerned, but rather giving the fans the best possible show ever. Those that got the crappy stage must feel pretty crappy now.

Makes a lot of sense but than tickets should be considerable cheaper as well.

If I had paid 40 euros then yes I wouldn't mind for the stage. But when you give 78 for the cheapest ticket then you have to satisfy your audience. Not that I am going to the concert for the stage but it wouldn't be nice from their point to do that.Onstage tickets weren't on sale for Athens right?

The top price to see the stones with that stage in Australia and New Zealand was around 350 us dollars so it is not about pri9ce but about how far away the market is for travel for the Stones.

Nothing wrong with the "South Americaq" stage by the way. It is the same band on stage, same songs, same great show. Just not so many graphics and visuals may be.

What stage did they use during the last tours over there? I really don't know but I can't remeber talking about this.

They only played arena shows (and one theatre show) in Australia 2003.
That was the same arena stage as everywhere else.
In 1995 they used the same Voodoo Lounge stage as everywhere else (except in Johannesburg where they skipped the "cobra" part).
