Question about If You Can't Rock Me...

When ever I watch the Madison Square Garden show from Forty Flicks, I have to watch If You Can't Rock me at least ten times. I just feed of the energy (I especially love the part where Keith solos to Daryl).

Anyhow, I wanna try to figure out Keith's version of it (don't have the album it was on...It's Only Rock and Roll?). I don't ever go to tab sites (or any rock and roll site these days) cause their all full of shit and I'll just get pissed off.

So...is the version on Forty Flicks in Open G? I think I can get the key by watching.

Yes it is. Open G on a Fender Telecaster with the low E string, or D string in this case pulled off. Chords are D C, sometimes a Cadd9 and G.

Careful now. I have submitted some TABS over the years and they are pretty accurate ;-)

believe it or not the same thing happened in Oakland 02 concert except it was a women who tried to go up to mick. She got up onto the cat walk and headed for the stage and the security cut her down. It was during Loving Cup with mick playing acustic gituar on that number. I wonder if anyone else here saw that. I know T & A was at that show from discussions. I wonder if he remembers that. I felt bad for her actually. (They played If you cant rock me a couple songs before that happened.)

don't tell StonesTod that you like the Four Flicks version of IYCRM, unless you have a deathwish.

hes not a big fan of it eh? Its pretty good IMO, nothing earth-shattering about it, but I like it. I really like the FF DVDs. I cant decide which disc I like best. The video effects on the MSG show are cool. The split screen and fish bubble lens stuff. and I noticed how for the most part you dont really see the crowd at all during that show except when it gets to satsifaction, when they turn house lights on.
