Even made it to the news in Austria - there are still masses of tickets available for both shows...tickets also go for half the price on ebay. I found the story in english too now.

Stones Struggle To Fill Concerts
11:46 AM, 15 Apr 2006
The Rolling Stones are struggling to fill their two New Zealand venues for concerts this week.

And many people trying to resell tickets on-line are being forced to cut the resale price.

The official retailer Ticketmaster in Auckland has confirmed that there are still plenty of general admission tickets to the 55,000 seat capacity concert on Sunday night.

And Ticketek in Wellington says there are still "heaps" of the most expensive tickets to Tuesday's concert in the capital.

The on-line auction site Trade Me has scores of tickets on sale, most at about half their face value.

its because the population is so small. there are twice as many people in sydney as the whole of NZ. There is a million more in melbourne than the whole of NZ.

They would have been better off playing another gig in melbourne or a gig in Brisbane.

Seriously, its not like New Zealanders have a variety of entertainment options to pursue. they must be a boring bunch.

Happy to see the touts are not making a killing.

So if you turn up on the day does this mean you get in for discount or even free.

N Z is not the most happening place on the planet - been there once, that was enough. Australia I can go back to over and over - plenty of great interesting places to visit there... (just one Dudes opinion - please don't hate me)

So, if stones struggle to fill concerts in New Zealand, than New Zealand is not the most happening place to visit?

No. N-Z is a nice country. But don't ask N-Zers to fill in Stadiums . Germany, Netherlands, UK cannot do it too. Japan did not succeed.

N Z is a VERY nice country. Just not my cup of tea, that's all. Has nothing to do with the Stones, I could care less how many tickets they sell....

Apart from your own stupidity - donĀ“t blame the people for
not buying, blame the greedy Stones for charging those prices.

Empty seats - the only language Jagger understands.

I don't know why the Stones bother going to places that don't appreciate them.

Please come back to North Anerica where you can sell out any hockey arena you want! We're all waiting!

(in my opinion).

What are you all shittin' about?

You're all saying the ticket's are way overpriced, so these guys don't buy them, and then they're a bad Stones country? So your theory is that you have to whine a whole lot about the tickets, but still have to buy them?

No doubt the prices are the problem. I think this was disguised by Corporate America in the US tour.

By the way, New Zealand is a beautiful country with one of the most diverse landscapes and climates in the world.
