sick of mick

with the everlasting come on's, oh yeah's, let me tell ya's before every chorus.
Has he no faith the rest of the band know the changes in the songs?

I'm sure most of the concertgoers don't hear and don't care, but it's starting to really irritate me. Listening to sway, I hear no involvement from mick at all
He rushes through the song, basically just trying to get it over with. I think that's how he feels about the whole concert by now. I just don't hear any joy in his voice. he's just doing the number

He's not a part of the band anymore,I mean he's just to behaved and neat compared to latter days. His soul isn't in it anymore, I can tell. But I guess you can fool a lot off people. I guess that rubbs off on keith and ronnie too.

I must admitt onnya brings back a little of that old magic, I guess it's better to be gratefull they're still doing it but sometimes I can't help but wonder
how great they could be if mick just sang from his soul like he used to, instead of being the calculated performer.

He wasn't that way in Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, and DC in 2005 but was somewhat in the two Chicago shows in January...

MUDBONE (Great efing name BTW) he said it in Rolling Stone Magazine a few months ago. The first 20 shows are interesting but once you've mastered the stage and show it's just a grind after that.....

That's COLD man, think about this. If she hadn't lost her leg she'd never met him and had this dream life.

2 legs = boring job, out with the girls, bitching about men

1 leg = Being Paul's bird, jetting around the world, being on Larry King, getting to listen to Helter Skelter in rehearsals

A no brainer....

The versions I have seen and heard of songs like Sway, Cant you hear me knocking etc I agree Mick is pathetic, he ruins the classic songs, that is too bad.

I posted a thread near the beginning of this tour about Mick and his 'c'mons' before every change and I was lambasted for not digging the 'live' vibe of the band. It has nothing to do with that. YOu can tell, Mick is terrified (rightly so) that Keith, Ronnie and Charlie are not gonna go to the bridge or chorus or whatever. It detracts from the songs. A well placed ad lib is nice, but he does it nearly every song, in every change!!! Even the warhorses. I don't even remember LICKS being anywhere near as bad for this.

"here we go" is a favorite cue MJ likes to use....unfortunatley, I don't recall "here we go" in any set of RS lyrics....

Here we go, I thinks he be setting the lights and theatrics..its a big show man. The guys could play by themselves, they have been around the block once or twice before.

Seriously, it has a lot to do with timing and making sure the band has the right guitars, that Charlie is ready and so on.
