What was the last tour (or the last concert) when both sang at the same microphone? 1976?
And the last show Jagger didn't quit the scene while Richards sing Happy?

When Mick decided he wasn't gonna get shots for "A Thousand Rare Infections" anymore....

I believe the last tour was the '78 tour

This is something I always wish they would still do now.

keiths high tenor that had been lovely since childhood was in great raspy shape...
k and m all snickering and whispering as they play with the vocal lines in dead flowers...
alla the vocals on EVERYTHING coming from those two period.
mick and keith doin' HAPPY twogether was so cool...
jagger comin' in hard on the actual choruses...
like a band or something.

I read that they sang Connection together on the 95 Euro Tour. I dont know how reliable the source is on that though. does anyone else recall that who was there? yeah I think thats what Micks brain is refering to

I doubt that they'll share a mike again...........that ship has passed...the problems in the 80's pretty much ruined the chances of that happening again.

It happened in May of '95 at the Paradiso club.You can hear it on the cd.

I'd put that scene right up there with a Wyman or Taylor return.

I'd put it up with a Brian Jones return.

yeah, they briefly came very close to it, but not exactly -
Mick was holding his own microphone standing right next to Keith at his microphone. that does happen occasionally.
smile: Keith put his arm around Mick in a sort of "there there" gesture - judging from the DVD, Mick really was a bag of nerves that night.

but to respond to the original question: as Deuce said, the 78 tour was the last time they shared a mic regularly,
and when Mick regularly stayed on during Keith's LV turn. (he did stay on - or return to - the stage during Little T&A at Leeds in 82,
but that was exceptional.)

Seems like I remember a minor stir during the Licks tour when a review said they shared the mike for part of a song, maybe HTW. I think it was at one of the U.S. shows.

and do anyone have pics of them sharing the mic during the lasts tours? it would be great! with sssoul in particular (you have a lot of graet pics!...) any?

That must be Dead Flowers (or ?)

That last shot was from Rolling Stone in the pre-release report for "Bridges", so probably Aug./Sept. '97.

The problem is that, since the Cohl era began, Mick by contract has to leave the stage when Keith sings his set.

Wouldn't it be fantastic if they did "Memory Motel" on the same mike, arms around eachother... After all they're composing songs together now, face to face. Just the two blood brothers and their guitars. Like an old married couple, finding back to eachother after some turbulent years...

Also in the Twickenam show, during Honky Tonk Women, they share the mic for a few seconds. You can watch it on Four Flicks.
