urghhhh- a live album (post-Slash/Izzy era)- can't imagine why anyone would want it.
In regards to Velvet Revolver......I was listeng to Sirius last week (forgot what station). But they said that a week prior Slash had reportedly left the band and Duff was back in rehab up in Seattle. Different band, same volatility.
bad news about Duff. he reportedly will die very quickly should he start drinking again. The Slash news does not surprise me. he is curious and ambitious and knows that he is in high demand. The VR thing he has already done once around on a bigger scale. I don't agree that they are a good band. I mean, yes, they ARE a excellent band but they don't have any material to speak of because every memebr was a star, but never the writer in their previous bands.
G&R a little parentheses in rock? that is just silly tosay. This is a prime expamle of not having been geographicall;y present to fully comprehend the impact of a certain act. It would be like people in USA saying that Oasis is a inconsequential blip on the screen.

Axl just can't do it by himself. It was all over when Izzy left. Nothin new has been released since UYI. Aside from the cover album and some movie soundtracks.
Reading the VR boards the Slash rumours are just that. They know that band like people knowo the Stones here. Thier web site says they are now in the the studio

That's good news, I was bummed to read that rumor here this am. I'm also bummed about Duff, he seemed like he really got his act together, he was looking quite buff too, i hope that's a rumor as well.
What did he do to his face Cindy? Tommy Stinson sounded positively spineless lately in some interview. He was kissing Axl's ass with no shame. That is not right for a replacement. But forget it - the Mats will not reform.

Axl should sweet-talk Slash, Duff, Steven and Izzy into rejoining the band and conquer the entire world once again. You know where your are - you're in the jungle baby and you're gonna @#$%&' diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeee. MEZ
