ohhh i am really pining for a full-length in-depth documentary of the Stones in Shanghai - the whole trip, with sense-surround.
i lived there for a while and ... man, it's something else! say hello to it all for me, Joker, okay? i miss it real regularly.

it was a university job but not teaching. stories ... wow, yeah, but i need the sense-surround to really convey them.
i loved the place, and what a powerful experience it is - the street scenes and the strange strange light and the amazing sensuous weather
and all the smells and sounds and frogs and silk and jasmine and the insane psychedelic architecture and of course the Happy Sacrifice Chicken :E
and crossing the street amid the rush hour bicycles with my eyes closed because that's the best way to learn the mutual trust that Shanghai traffic depends on -
ahem, sorry! it's strong stuff, Shanghai. and it's so fine that the Stones are finally getting a taste of it. :E

Ya! Leaving this afternoon from Singapore, arriving tonight! Can't wait, have my ticket and it came in a very nice brochure type package with a great pic of the boys on the front. It is a large ticket mostly in Chinese, but the seat no. and row are in English.

flew into Nagoya bout the time they were leaving, now sittin in the lounge in Narita for my flight to Shanghai and the fever is starting again. Another Stoens show tommorrow, and a special part of the groups history...and I will be there! Life is good!

any bets on what percentage of the show will be foreigners? im thinking over half . . .

I also doubt it; I'm expecting a shorter show than usual.

Eastern country's scare the shit out of me. The culture appears pretty close to the western culture. But when you look closely, it's completely different. They have some really strange customs. But it's very interessting, ofcourse.
