"Sweet Jane" has one of the simplest chord progressions ever, yet it is copied or altered time and time again by so many different bands. It is so simple but it hits so hard and is instantly recognized. That Bm that Lou reed threw in there makes all the difference. A true classic.

D'oh! Well I'm properly embarrassed. You got me MB! Serves me right for not payintg attnetion!
Chris - what you were probably thinking to yourself is "sometimes the chord change you don't make is the best one." Just tryin' to help you save face, buddy....
I'm Only Sleeping off Revolver I think. My 5 year old nephew goes into a trance when he hears my brother or I play it. On piano or acoustic. The G-Am-Bm-Am-Asomething part.
I already mentioned "I was Maid To love her". after hearing stevie wonders version of "I dont know why" I realized this song has a similar, but altered pattern.
THe thing about this topic is that I'll just start naming every single song I like...
another comment Id like to make is that even though songs can share a similar chord progression, or identical progression, the way their played and recorded can give them a completley different feel. just my opinion though. like the chords of "beast". i think its a pretty unique song although similar chords have been used in other songs.
