sorry Bjornulf ... do you mean you watched the Sapporo video on rs.com
and that white-or-cream semihollow that looks like an ES-355 is not the one you mean?
jeepers - how many new guitars is Keith unveiling all of a sudden?!

>> some metal stuff under where the strings are ending <<

yeah, that would be the Bigsby tailpiece, if it's the 355 we're talking about.

>> In the meanwhile I'll try to find the footage at rs.com <<

hope you locate it all right, Open-G honey - go into the Virtual Ticket section,
then choose "video" - it should be right on top. they just put it up today,
along with something from Tokyo that i haven't managed to watch yet.

Yes thanks, I found it

Thats a Gibson ES-355, innit?

Keith's having alot of new guitars it seems. It's not even x-mas
...but as long as it keeps him happy

~*YEAH!*~ beautiful! thank you thank you Open-G honey!
[peering hard] that peghead inlay isn't too clear, is it - but until further notice 355 sounds about right to me.
there's another shot a bit earlier in the video as well - i bet you noticed -
from an angle where it's a bit hard to tell whether it's this same instrument or some kind of white single-cutaway.
i was assuming it was this one from a funny angle until you posted that shot of a white Duesenberg ...
anyway! have some excellent tea and popcorn and thank you thank you!

Yes. This is the one. But I don't think it is new. It has got two large scratches upper left as seen from the crowd. By the way in Melbourne he did use that very same guitar for all the first seven - 7 - songs of the show, except for one song. He used it on Satisfaction, Let's Spend The Night Together, She's So Cold, Oh No Not You Again, then changed it for Sway, then back to the white one for Worried About You and Ain't Too Proud To Beg. This is the one (from the Sydney show):

By the way... I know nothing about guitars, except for what I see on stage, but I saw some pictures of John Lennon and his performance at the Rock'n'Roll Circus, and also at the very last Beatles performance ever, on the rooftop, both around 37 years ago now, and both times John Lennon was playing a guitar which looks almost identical, except may be not with the bits on the lower part (the handle?).

Hey, Bjornulf, we(me, Mathijs, wish sssoul and loads of others) have already identified it as a white Gibson ES-345. It may be a 60's model, but they weren't made in white back then. But ofcourse, it could be customized for Keith. It could also be a 2005 reissue, which does come in white, but that wouldn't make allot of sense because the guitar looks pretty old.

Sorry I haven't seen many posts lately. I have been busy. If it is a 2005 reissue then it must have taken a lot of beating in a short while, because it looks like it has been through a lot.

Yeah, that's why it's probably a 60's model. But it could also be "vintaged", you know, when they take a sanding machine and take it over the guitar a few times.

For your edification, keep your eyes on these guitars.

They'll probably monitor next time.

Ronnie played one of those in his solo gig last year. I remember a thread about that "Blues" guitar.

Why do you say we'll see it, Toru? Did you see Keith purchasing one? Tell us more...

[There'll be no wedding today...]

thank you kindly for these details, Bjornulf! it's good of you to remember we're pining for them.
if you're interested, here's the thread where folks here have been pondering this instrument: [iorr.org]

interesting! that would be this here Epiphone - i reckon someone here will know what model it is.
my knowledge of the Dirty Mac is pretty much limited to the bass player. :E
