I've listened to Knebworth lots of times, and watched it too.
But somehow I have missed the "Keith, wake up, it's no dream".
I can't understand that, I must have thought he said something else. Where is it, rooster?

I have always loved this show. Keith is in another world but he is ON! I love Dead Flowers and Satisfaction.

Mick seems pretty hammered too

Come here microphone! that's really hillarious!
There are some shows from 75, for instance last New York, and others, that Mick keeps on talking to himself on stage. That's a good sign of him being out-of-himself.
He sees somebody standing up, and he goes "sit down stand up sit down stand up...popcorn anyone? Popcorn?" etc. He don't do that nowadays.

Very gutsy of them to do this setlist. I like Knebworth just by thinking of it. Thanks bootleg-people!
Rooster, I listened to the Hot August Night CD, before HTW. I only hear Mick saying "Honky Tonk Women". I have to check on the other source I've got, and on the video, to check if I can hear it. Do you have to crank it up loud, to hear the "Keith wake up..."?
Anyway, Cheers Rooster!

On most 75-76 shows, the Stones play at 500 miles per hours, but when Midnight Rambler and Brown Sugar (and the end of the show) comes, the plane takes off!
Knebworth is kinda different. I think the first 70% of the show is the best part. (I'm not saying the end is bad, I'm only saying that the beginning and missle is best. Perhaps due to the choice of songs.)

I like Love You Live, but by the time they get to JJ flash and Brown sugar mick is barely signing. Its cool in its own way though and hes still audible. Sympathy is really cool with the steel drum marching band.

I dig Love You Live, BUT there are way better bootlegs from 75/76 than the official Love You Live.
(for instance last New York, last Los Angeles, last Paris, first Toronto etc. etc.)

>> But somehow I have missed the "Keith, wake up, it's no dream". <<

ohhh thank you Erik - the good Rooster has mentioned that before, and i've also been so puzzled about where that is.
so i'm off to check out the start of HTW - thanks for the clue, Rooster, and wish me luck. :E

one thing about Keith's performance at Knebworth: look how he addresses the microphone -
charges right up to it as forthright as a boyscout, right there on the money every time.
i always wonder what kind of "discussion" went on before that gig about Keith's ummm erratic back-up singing getting on the LV's nerves ... :E

smile: i just listened to the start of HTW on the two versions i own, and yeah:
in one of them, after "boogie on," i hear Mick saying *something* further, after he's walked away from the mic -
but i don't quite know what it sounds like to me. a bit like "no tricks" or "no drinks?!"
but i like your version better, Rooster. :E

Rooster, I'm watching this old movie again tonight, 'cause of this thread. It's so old that it is black&white. It's really great. Even though "Midnight Rambler" doesn't really work the way it used too, 2 months earlier (same for Street Fighting Man).
