Just read that Barbra Streisand is considering a fall tour, with Michael Cohl promoting. Rumoured ticket price is as high as $1500 per seat!!! Guess the Stones are a bargain after all.

I love her interviews BUT, can't get into the music (or the films). People that love Babs have that kinda scratch, no problem selling out.....

Give it time. If Cohl can swing $1,500 for tickets for Babs (who never tours, dont forget) you can bet he'll try some stunt on any future Stones tour to secure a similar deal for them

Shes reported to be doing twenty shows an she will recieve 2 million per show.

How many seats per show? I guess it doesn't have to be too many for Cohl to break a profit with that ridiculous tik price.

Well she'll get the prices she's asking for very easily when you think the amount of people she'll play to won't hold a candle Stones' numbers.
Also she hardly ever plays live whereas the Stones have been on the road constantly in the U.S with the exeption of the 8 year gap in the 80s.

There is no way I am ever paying $1500 for a concert ticket under any circumstances. Not even if I win $100 million in the lottery tomorrow. Not even if John Lennon, George Harrison and John Bonham come back from the dead and The Beatles play a one off show with Led Zeppelin opening. No concert is worth $1500. Stop the insanity!

I would not worry at all about the Stones copying this next time. Back in the mid 90's when she toured, her prices were what A Bigger Bang is now. She always charges way more than everyone else because she only does tours once in like 10 or 12 years and then only very limited shows.

I would have absolutely no interest in this, but I can understand why some people would, and why they would not balk at the ticket price. They will probably be seeing the last worthy practitioner of an entire, soon-to-be-gone-forever show-biz tradition for the last time ..... unless Liza Minnelli tours again.

She said her last tour was her last ever. People paid those crazy prices thinking it was the last time and of course, greed takes over!

What gets me about Streisand is that when she was young and still had that amazing voice, all she wanted to do was appear in movies. Now she's 63, the voice is not what it was, and they are charging an arm and a leg prices. Something is wrong with this picture.
