I like it on the El Mocambo side on Love You Live where Mick says,

"If you feel like dancing........

....wait."

I like it on the Bridges to Babylon DVD, right before Jumpin' Jack Flash.

Mick says in a sing-songy kind of voice:

"Are you ready for a little bit moooore? Are you ready for a little - bit - MORE!"

then that unforgettable riff comes a chargin' . . .

pure rock n roll adrenaline!

What about the teleprompters the stones use? maybe you only notice them from the side of stage or on stage but they're rolling even for mick, not just keith, on the war horses too!

Bruce Springsteen uses a teleprompter too. In the case of Bruce it's not so strange since his playing a LOT of different songs live.
I think that goes for Bob Dylan too considering how much he changes his setlists.
I have basically no objections at all concerning teleprompters as long as it's not too obvious that the artist are using them. For all I care Mick and Keith could use an unlimited number of teleprompters EVEN on the warhorses as long as they keep on playing live music.

Introducing a ballad:

"We're gonna slow it down a little bit for you..."

Remember when Keith is doing his set Mick is backstage resting so he would not really have a clue of what keith is doing really, and when Mick & Chuck is doing the set list it just says Keith 1 and Keith 2 in those spots. So even if he should know, being sort of band leader (or may be that is Keith) he does not really have that close contact with Keith's part of the set. But we all know Mick has got a bad memory - new lyrics every night is part of the show.

> "You're a fĂșcking great audience!"

If Mick is saying this then he really means it. You might say that Mick is on cruise conrol during the shows - going left and right on certain songs - saying things every night - but if you go to many shows then you will notice Mick is genuine when saying his honest feeling about the crowd. I remember he said something like "bet you say that to all the girls" when he used that above quote. Well if he used it it must have been a great great crowd like MSG or some other but not any crowd. By the way I don't think he ever said so in Buenos Aires. He could have said it after every song but he did not. There are many ways to say you like the crowd. In BA they were just overwhelmed. In fact seing Mick throwing T-shirts by the B-stage is the proof - best show. He rarely does that.

I didn't mean that it ("You're a fĂșcking great audience!") is something he is tired of saying, just that he says it a lot. I didn't read the thread title properly. I'm sure he means it when he says it.

No, you didn't write something wrong.
This thread is not about that these quotes are stupid, it's just a discussion about these secounds between the songs.
