I actually think he doesn't sometimes remember which album they're from. Clearly he does remember the music and lyrics of each song but I don't think he's that interested in the packaging of these songs or the year they came out. Also you have to bear in mind that loads of Stones songs were written at the time of one album (eg. Loving Cup in 1969) but didn't actually come out until another (Exile, 3 years later). So, whereas in our mind, the song is indelibly linked to a particular album, to him, it may just bring to mind the time he wrote a bunch of songs.

ummm....

OK, he remembers most of the words, most of the time. I think he forgets far fewer than most singers actually.

I never know when a singer actually forgets the lyrics and when they are "improvising."

I like it in Love You Live when they joke around in the band intros, and when Mick says "Are ya feelin good, feelin loose now, a bit more relaxed?".

That last Atlantic City-sentence you mentioned is a little fleet-sweet, I think. Yet, a sentence like that wouldn't fit in at any Stones-concerts, apart from 89/90. They were very eeeeeh...likeable those 2 years.

what does "fleet Sweet" mean? To me, the quote i mentioned just gives the atmosphere a party vibe. I also think its ironic and tounge in cheek. thats just my interpetation.

and I forgot about "Its a bottom pincher from last night. Watch Out For Your bottoms Keith".

Hi, perhaps fleet-sweet isn't a word in English. It's directly translated from Norwegian. Like "sugar-sweet" or something like that.
I thought "fleet" was the "fat" milk you make ice cream of, and put in the mixer to make cream.... (I don't have a dictionary nearby, you see)
Anyway, I didn't want to drag your choice down, everybody's opinion in something like this is correct!

Mick's memory for that kind of stuff is notoriously bad. Even as far back as the early 80's, Bill described him as "hopeless...and so is Charlie. Keith, surprisingly, has a very good memory.."

That's my impression too. Do you remember that interview in IORR, from the end of Dec. 1997, when Mick was ABSOLUTELY sure that Keith didn't play All About You on the B2B tour? The interviewer said several times that he was really certain that Keith hadn't done that one.
Well, it's a bit different case, but it's in the same genre, Mick has a bad memory.
The only one worse than him is Bowie. He uses lyric-sheets on stage due to his "washed-out cocaine-brain" as he said himself.

I wouldn't go as far as that. Some of it is hot as hell.

Talking about forgetting lyrics... Keith couldn't remember a word of Happy the other night at Radio City!

What I like is the way they recover from forgetting things. The MSG show in 03 Mick forgot the microphone and recovered rather well. It really is priceless cause all of em are so good at it..............

There is NO BETTER front man in rock n'roll history. Periood. Take it to the bank.

That would be really bad because,in December 1997 Richards had just finished playing that song at almost every concert (except for one or two) from that year.
