Texas is cool (not a big fan of Houston though) - I have a good friend in San Antonio, I LOVE Austin, great town !! Love when they shut down the streets and have bands playing everywhere, it's like Beale St. in Memphis (another very cool little town)...And of course, New Orleans...

You speak with a wise man's appreciation for our best music spots. I live just south of Fort Worth in the ever-expaninding mind-numbing cookie-cutter suburbs....but I won't die in them if I can help it. One day I will move back to my beloved native Louisiana.

Of course, I think we both have a huge mutual love - New Orleans. Hurricanes Katrina and Rita ripped my heart out....
