OT: The Sound's European and 2nd N. American tour in 06

...And its name is the Sounds... Comments welcome...
Their new album will be out tomorrow Wednesday.
It's called " Dying To Say This To You "

Saw them summer of 2004 at Gatufesten (Sundsvall)
and that was knockin' ...
I´ve heard the new album and it's., at least partially,
one of the mest knock-outing musical experiences I´ve done
since I heard Exile or Pistols for the first time.
Up there with the first times one tuned in JJF & SFTD...

There is a genealogical line Chuckster-Keefster-Rotten-Sounds.

Here's how it will go: First, its the Sounds. Then, the chick's name "and the Sounds". Then, just the chick, and the Sounds are back to workin' thier day jobs. Anyone remember the Blackhearts, then Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, then just Joan Jett? How about Blondie, then D.H. and Blondie, then just D.H. Or No Doubt, et cet. Lesson: Don't have a cute chick be your lead singer.

Blondie´s into Hall of Fame now isnt she?
This woman, Maja Ivarsson, is far far more talented.
This is more Patti Smith than, say, Siouxsie, Debbie or Marylin.

Micawber - its primarily my kids who likes them...
Its music for the youngster... But why cant us old geezers have
a listen... Dont let yer eyes fool ya - beautiful
people can, at times, be talented too!!

I believe their US etc foreign tours went out well...

Definetely the best export that come out of Sweden musically since
... (Couldnt figure anything out)... Jenny Lind in the 1800s.

have to admit that sometimes the keyboard guy's circus excursions
is a little bit too far out for an old fart... With my old ears
they mix, without prejudgements, 80s newromantic blip-blop with
stone-hard rock attitude (which is timeless)...

well...just heard some songs. They're good. Some are really grooving, kind of punk-dance very eighties...but some don't. She's so pretty and i like her voice (sometimes reminds me to Avril Lavigne). Doesn't the new single seems a lot like the Hives Walk idiot walk?

But the Hives is Salieri & these dudes is Mozart, right?!

Hey Baboon!

I wonder if we even were at the same concert..

I say Don't believe the hype!

And their concert at Pipeline was far more intense and had a better sound all over....

Hey, Bro, I might just check them out. Masquerade isn't a place I normally frequent (long story), but might be fun. Let me check the band out further.

Didnt see them at Pipeline but at Gatufesten.
My objections were many; and I had almost forgotten them...
Till the new album was tanked down ma line.

This band will be our country's greatest export since ABBA,
Mark All My Messages Read... Just dish-washed with the album
in ma mp3-earplugs & good heavens... is all I can say.

Guitar dude Felix Rodriguez plays his axe just... Like an axe
and like it was a drum, Keith-style. Cuts slices of meat;
kills fascists & make holes in the Nothingness.

And ya probably dont send out a band to some 35 US venues
if its just a hype, do ya? ...Focus seem to lay on the South.
I reckon Song With A Mission with its apparent Southern
touch can be a dead knock out smasher in the Dixie states.

I saw the future of rock 'n' roll, and his name is Bruce Springsteen. That's right folks, I'm actually Jon Landau (people unfamiliar with Landau or that quote are wondering what the @#$%& I'm talking about, I'm sure).
