in all honesty, unless you have a job that allows you to do that kind of thing (and I think Dean is a journalist) feeling the compulsion to see 50-60 shows a tour is something I'm glad I dont have.

However, there are people who see more than that. That Japanese couple I believe go to EVERY show.

The difficult thing about attending Rolling Stones concerts is easy to describe. Your appetite is never ending. How many are enough? The Stones are a thirst that can truly never be quenched. Every show leaves you with....I've just got to see them one more time....it never ends.

I am at nine. First time was Oct '81 in S.F. (twice) and last was Nov 05 in S.f.
Best was '99 indoors at Oakland but everytime I have seen it has been awesome.
I am hoping to making it #10 this year.

also saw Keith on his '88 tour. Band was so tight and Keith had something to prove. Fantastic show. So maybe that makes it #10??

I have not had my AM coffee, but if bleary eyed early morning memory serves me correctly:

1975 1 show USA
1978 2 shows USA
1981 3 shows USA
1989 3 Shows USA
1994 3 Shows USA
1997 1 Show USA Mainland, 2 shows Hawaii
No Security 1 show

Licks 1 show US mainland, 3 Shows Australia , 4 shows UK

This tour: Miami, Hollywood x2, Anaheim, Chicago x 1 and to come Shanghai, Brno, Vienna, Athens, Porto, Valladolid, Wembley x 2, Glasgow

Plus New Barbarians x 1.

I have a ferind whi has seen more shows than that this tour alone. Frankly, every year they tour they bust my budget, LOL, and I stand in awe of peole like her. I mean I make damn good money and can hardly keep up! LOLm, but looking at the list, to me , it is real obvious when the EX and I split hahha...after 97 the number of shows per tour increases!~

I agree completely with you Gazza. It's great to use a concert as a reson for you to go to another city or country, see the show and also do your site seeing. I've seen the Stones in the following cites:

Seattle, WA in 1981 and 1997
Pasadena, CA in 1994
Los Angeles, CA in 1997, 2002, 2003 and 2005
San Diego, CA in 1998 and 2002
Houston, TX in 1998
Tokyo, Japan in 1998
Anaheim, CA in 1999, 2002 and 2005
Las Vegas, NV in 1999 and 2003
London, UK in 1999
Cologne, Germany in 1999
Rotterdam, Netherlands in 2003
Utrecht, Netherlands in 2003
Rio De Janeiro, Brazil in 2006
Inglewood, CA in 2006
