last night florida show was killer from start to finish,keith nailed every intro,chord progression and pulled some sounds out his you know what,brilliant performance.

My impression is that you have to shell over big $ in the form of a donations to be considered. I read a few years back that David Gilmour donated the proceeds of his house sale to charity, I don't remember the amount, but it was a lot. In the same article it mentioned that David ha 6 kids. I remember thinking, why is he not leaving the money to his children? Then someone mentioned that he might have done it so that he can get his Knighthood. But who knows, I'm sure the person who told me that has no idea, but I'm still waiting to see if David gets the offer.

I don't think there's anyone in the British "establishment" that would even dream of supporting the idea of Queenie bestowing a gong on Keith; it would be unthinkable. Keith has made his views so plain that the mere notion of honouring him doesn't even bear thinking about; KR's reaction to the news that he'd been awarded one would probably rock the establishment to its core and it would never recover. Don't even go there - too bloody dangerous. The resulting explosion wouldn't be worth the effort of trying to honour him with a gong, he just doesn't wanna know about it !
