I just saw that the Brian Jones film "Stoned" will be playing a few blocks from my house here in San Diego at the end of the month. Check out your local independent theatres in your city...

Is there a website or something promoting this film so we can read up on it and see where it is coming?

It was probably cheaper to use other music. Pretty cheesy, if you ask me.

Yep, I enjoyed reading Miss U.'s review....it didn't spoil the movie, just makes me want to see it more.

The review itself is hard to read because of the white print on black screen. Otherwise, its well worth reading. Whenever I do see the movie, I'll be looking for all the things that were pointed out in it.

It's out on DVD in Europe in early April.

Look at Ray and Walk The Line, now you see how popular Stoned is !!

I changed the background color

In the trailer you hear 'Not Fade Away' as background music, and I'm pretty sure that it is Stones' version. If it's not it's a damn good copy.

But we won't hear any Jagger/Richards song in this move.

IMO, Leo was not a particularly convincing Brian, looks-wise.

Music is by The Counterfeit Stones for Little Red Rooster and Not Fade Away. There is a soundtrack CD available.

Personally, I don't think they NEEDED any Stones music in the movie. It is a film about Brian Jones the person and his death, not about the Rolling Stones. Yeah, it'd been nice to hear a few tunes by the band, yet at the same time, utterly unessential
