One of the best guitar players from Mali (and from Africa for that matter) has passed away. If you listen to his music, you can understand where the blues came from.

Also ALI FARKA played in 1994 with RY COODER for this FANTASTIC CD "TALKING TIMBUKTU" !!! That's Africanos Blues !

I saw his last concert, in Lisbon, in 2005.
really great music and very, very good.
A real simple and down to earth person.
Get the ScorceseĀ“s Blues project and you will know that before the Stones, and Muddy Waters, and R. Johnson... there was Africa and Mali...!
