I think you're right on that one. Keith is a little too content and it's affecting him creatively. But at least he is a happy guy!

The Stones are truly color blind, all they see is green. If you can pay, they will play. Ever since they gave up British citizenship to make more money it has been a profit oriented business with self indulgent heonism merely an added bonus. This sudden realization that they are self absorbed greedy bastards is baffling to me. They have always been this way, and the fact that they get away with it is part of their charm.

Uh..they havent "given up British citizenship", Steven

they all have British passports, although Keith has dual citizenship as he's resident in the US and married to an American

Apart from that, for once we agree on something - although we can differ on how 'charming' it is winking smiley

good enough gazza for you to think that ....but it is not cool....people are killing each other over slurs, i think people should be much more aware of what the say , what they mean! my knickers always get twisted with bigotry!!! dont yours???

I hardly need lectured about people being killed due to bigotry where I'm from, mate. I've seen it at first hand far too often.

I dont think complimenting a group of people on their undoubted ability as businessmen is being 'bigoted' by any stretch of the imagination. Quite the reverse. he may have worded it more carefully, but some things are easy to get lost in translation (maybe English isnt his first language, which is the case for many people on this board). Had he meant it in the way youre choosing to interpret it, I'd have agreed with you 100 %. With respect, I think youre looking for something that isnt there.

Gazza, in that case I was wrong too. I've met people that use it as a curse-word, and I hate to hear it used that way. Perhaps he didn't meant it like that, I'm too eager on the trigger (is that a good phrase).

The Stones have the "nice" problem of being the world's most popular rock band. They had problems fitting in NZ and Australia in the tour because of Commonwealth games logistics etc. So they were close to sign off NZ + Australia totally and do 4 shows in Honolulu instead. But they made it. And the first thing people say is - "Why don't we get more?" ...

USA is may be 300 million people. Western raditional Europe is 300 million to. Give or take some. Eastern Europe have another 300 million people. China has got 1.5 billion people. India 1.2 billion. Indoniesia is may be 10 times bigger than NZ+Australia. They could take their tour any place they like and they could play 10 more shows in Buenos Aires. They loose money going down under and still people complain.

We are lucky our favorite band are still around and selling out venues all over the world. If they were greedy thyey could have done like Elton John and Celine Dion. Playing 6 months in Las Vegas, then 3 months in Atlantic City and the rest of the year in London, Paris and Frankfurt. But they want to meet fans all over the world, so wherever they go, some people complain about too few shows. And some complain about too high ticket prices. It is a clear sign of mismatch between availability and demand, simple as that.
