i'd like to know if they played this song during the voodoo lounge tour, or in another one ?
"suck on the jugular" is one of the strongest songs of voodoo lounge : i had never payed attention to it until a few days ago because of its position in the album, but - woooooooooooo - !!

Gazza's all-time favorite, I believe.

No - it's never been played. I happen to love this one....

The music is pretty good, but the words are just so stupid, and Mick's singing is just... pointless on it.

Don't like it.

I like it, even though it's kind of a show-case for Darryll to prove how much he could make the Stones swing. It's just a jam, but still kindda good.

Well, if Cindy likes this song, I guess it can't be that bad.

I find Sparks Will Fly much much worse.smiling smiley The only Stones lyrics that I would mark "stupid".

Agreed on SWF. Sharks will cry, indeed.

It's definitely one of the worst stones efforts ever

I like the instrumental versions on the Voodoo Brew/Stew sets, very funky! But it loses something with the lame lyrics and affected vocals.

I skip this one and about half of the rest of the songs on Voodoo.

It wasn't THAT sweet - what about me? It was clearly a post that was intended to "snub" me....

T&A, I couldn't tell if you really like this song or not. For some reason I thought you were being sarcastic. Erik, send T&A some love.

It's a great fun song! It's been bashed a lot in previous threads, though. I enjoy it anyway!!!

The lyrics of Sparks Will Fly are a poetic masterpiece in comparison to the ones of Streets Of Love... (Hi smilingsun! You haven't been posting for quite a while, have you?)

"got to be worked on
don't have no bark nor bite..."

Hi Wild Slivovitz! No I haven't.
Poetic masterpice, lol, it's awful. Nothing against lascivious songs, on the contrary, but this one is stupid imo. I quite like SOL. The lyrics aren't quite Mick's best, by far not, suresmiling smiley, but they aren't THAT bad. And it's kinda sincere... They're drenched, they're drenched in tears... I love the end of the song escpeially. We kinda disagree here. (But not about Suck on the Jugular).

Love this song cause of the hornsection... reminds me of the saxdrive on Sexdrive!

I think it's a bit underrated. It's a fun funkjam, nothing more. I think we shouldn't take every song too seriously...

Great groove/rhythm and guitars, well sung by Mick.
