Yeah, but playing the drums is not about who hits 'em harder. It's about groove and feel. And I must say, that Abe is an outstanding drummer with an enormous feel and an unbelievable groove. He is a far better drummer than Charlie. In fact, Charlie is overrated. Sometimes he plays like a beginner. Even in songs he played for the 7,000th time. Only because Keith 'n Ronnie always say that Charlie is The Stones and the heart and soul (which is ridiculous) he isn't it.

If you'd read my post you'd see I agreed he has groove.

But when Keith and Ronnie say he is and you say he isn't, why would we beleive you and not two of our favorite musicians in the world?

Let your eyes and ears answer that question ;-)

i assume, by that, you're implying that Ringo Starr isn't/wasn't a good drummer.

He was a fantastic drummer for Rory Storm and The Hurricanes, and was the perfect foil in The Beatles.
It's a popular misconception to make snide comments about Ringo's drumming abilities.

I did carefully... Chalie gets my vote big time! Overrated? No way! He's very very underrated, instead. In my humble opinion, of course.

Saw Abe with Paul last fall (3 weeks before the Stones). He's excellent. So are Kenny Aronoff, Max Weinberg, and Zak Starkey. However, there is only one Charlie Watts.
