I don't keep track of individual threads, posts or even people who post. For me life is too short. But I do however keep a track of insane or offending posts, so that I can get rid of people who again and again break the rules. If there was a post or a thread about World Cup 2006 then I can't see anything wrong with that, in fact it is very relevant, as Mick loves soccer, and vthe tour is affected by it. May be somebody started an endless "hair implants" or "I hate ronnie" discussion within that thead, or may be it contained offendig language, if so then it would be gone in one second. If it is gone just give it one more try.

BV How are you? I've read your policy and rules. But I don't understand why some poeple start threads about non music/Stones subjects. Eg, what kind of toast do we like. Or breakfast etc.. I think you're forum is carried out very professionaly and it's very informative. I'm always polite, caring to others and keep my English clean. But so many others do the opposite. As you may have seen I do allow practically anything. And the socalled HARRISON thread was neither deleted nor closed, I just added a comment saying this was not stones-related. That was at a time when half of the posts at that moment in time was not so Stones-related. I mean if you post about being drunk on a Tuesday it is not very Stones-related even if there is a song called Ruby Tuesday if you see what I mean.

PS. ""Talk about your favorite band" means "talk about the Stones". If they are NOT your favorite band then you may still be a guest here, but if I see twenty Garth Brooks posts from you every week then don't be surprised if they or you disappear from the forum.

I approve of your standard of abolishing Garth Brooks posters. Furthermore, anyone who types the words "Achy Breaky Heart" should also receive a stern warning.

A simple solution would be for BV, and him only, to start all the threads off.

By the way, the Stones are my very favourite band and their new album is the best they've ever done.

bv just a wee question.

Why when I look at a thread does the views counter go up each time I look ?.

I kind of find it confusing as the same person could open it 100 times and each time it counts as being viewed.

Would be nice if it only counted each user once no matter how many times they viewed it.

I of course have not a clue how to run a forum so not sure if it is poss or if there is a reason why it is set up this way .

Just curious more than anything.

Man !! if there 50 people on line, you will get 30 views 1 minute.

Just ignore the view counter. It is an internal database counter and it is crap. Many pages are cashed in the front by the servers so this kind of statistics are meaningless. It comes with the forum. I have separate web statistics that have total different - and of course accurate - measures.
