Best song on it after "laugh I Nearly Died" (and maybe "Dangerous Beauty")

stonedmike...i totally agree...Biggest Mistake is a pice of crap that would fit onto a melissa ethridge album...

man had they written garbage like that in the 70's people would be raking them over the coals...

i can't believe that the same guys responsible for Bitch wrote this winey and uniteresting song.

its a toss up between that and streets of shite for me

either could be taken outside and brutally battered and i'd lose no sleep

I'm not a big fan of the big mistake. Hey monkeygripglue, it does sort of have a Melissa Etheridge yawn to it, in my humblest of opinions.

Its a good one on the new one, but not quite GREAT like ONNYA, Dangerous Beauty, or Driving Too Fast.

I love ABB but don't like the ballads. They are just too sappy. I think ballads on other recent albums are better.

Streets of Shite, good one andy js. I completely agree with your assessment

Friends of mine(non-Stones fans, but otherwise with good taste in music) heard this in my car and LOVED it. This song got them to buy the album. And I love it too-one of my favorites off ABB.

What about I can remember the exact name(The CD doenst have song titles and I never keep the cases, i just toss them around and use them to ash on) but the second song that goes "Let me down real slow". I think thats a good one. Its a good showcase for their playing (charlie, keith and ronnie)

I just listened to it again, it sounds like theres a lot of gituars. I wonder of Mick plays on it

Pretty sure he does, he plays on most songs on the album, including bass on a couple.

Wouldn't a melissa etheridge song have more of a "sheen" to its production? I could see someone performing this song--which is a bit troubling, I agree--but the stones' production is always more raw. It's a lite tune, but played pretty honest straight, not trying to appeal to any particular demographic, I don't think. Not saying it's another "Dead Flowers," but I don't see cause for such a negative response.

My thoughts precisely.

I think it's great, OK they may have written songs like Bitch, but they can also write completely different songs like this one. Caters for all tastes!

I keep trying to like it, but there's just something a bit to MickJagger solo sounding about it. It's OK, but Keith has got to put his foot down on songs likes that and say 'no f-ing ballad way - needs a bit more minor-keyed grit' or something. . . .oh well, we take the good with the so-so stuff. It's an OK song in my book. We can all agree, just keep going in the studio every few years boys!. . . .amen.

It's one of the few good (solid, interesting musically) songs on the album.

agree with some above..SSMC is utter, utter crap. Not an ounce of anything original or interesting.
