Wild Horses - Best Live Version?

The Copacabanaversion is really good.
So was 75/76 versions although the recordings are not in great quality.

The stripped version is good but not my favourite one.

Too bad they never played it live in the early seventies.

Has anyone heard the version from Toronto 2002? The Fifteen Kicks version?

Several really good versions from 75.
Only one version available (as far as I know) from 76 (Knebworth), but it is also really good.
Some good versions from 94/95 also.

Knebworth 1976 hands down the best solo by Ron ever.

I love the 75/76 version as well. Love the guitars....but Mick wasnt singing that well on that tour.

do I remember right, the Stones played Wild Horses in '75/76 all electric? no acoustic guitars? I saw them do this song in '75, not long after Ronnie joined, and remember him playing electric on it...don't remember if Keith was playing acoustic. ?? thanks, Tops..

you took the words out of my mouth, without a doubt the best version, along with the 75 version in most cases

As great as the music was for the Knebworth the backup vocals were attrocious, but I think, atleast to me, that was what made Knebworth what it was. ragged, off key, but remarkable and raw, all qualities that only the greatest band scan possess.

Yes, Ronnie's solo at Knebworth was fantastic, you can see in the video clips how much emotion he puts into that solo, so smooth, yet so simple, but above all fitting. Remember, as I am a guitar player, you don't write a song to a solo, you write a solo to sing, Ronnie does a marvelous job on 'Wild Horses" at Knebworth.

Hands down, Knebworth '76.

In my opinion, there isn’t a bad version of Wild Horses. It's such a wonderful song and every version I hear grabs me. If anything, what lets down these days, it's Ronnie soloing. Funny that, because that’s exactly what makes the 75-76 versions so great.
