Curling. Now, that's what I call sports!
Baboon Bro and Erik Snow, good insights you guys have. I agree with Erik that sports is quite innocent way express your national feelings, etc. It really gathers more people together than it seperates (like The Stones here in this forum). For example, an art form called 'foot ball' has the rules that are shared internationally and that's almost an unique phenemenon. It really has the language everyone understands. Some @#$%& hooligans are just a marginal phenomenon in a big picture, and those sort accusations are often used in the arguments of narrow minded anti-sports people.
As for myself, nothing is so thrilling and interesting than Finland and Sweden facing each other in ice hockey. Those matches are always spectacles, big games; there is so much involved - all that tension between those countries - but that's nothing to do with really hatred, aggressive feelings etc. It's just fun. Like brothers on a play ground (even though we Finns think that all the Swedish men, and especially Mats Sundin, are homo sexuals
- not that there is nothing wrong with being guy, it's just one of thopse crazy myths shared by all Finns!)
By the way, congratulations for Swedish female ice hockey for getting into final! You won a great team.
