I'm not a big fan of audience recordings (although Drake's Memphis mix is pretty damn good).

Anyone have/heard of/posted a high quality soundboard of any of the Bigger Bang shows?

Funny you should ask, I was just putting together the clips & audio I've got so far & it makes a bit of a list. Most of them are from rs.com, just record the clip as its playing & you've got a .wav file of, not the greatest sndbd by any means, but its quite passable.

I've included the press conference as we've got complete versions of the songs spliced from aud & sndbd sources (& very good splices they are too, from rockpassion I believe)

There is a sounboard compilation from the Licks tour, named Dirty Licks. It contains about 16 Tracks from all over the world.

There are ALD "soundboards" of both Hollywood Bowl shows, but they are not great.

those aren't soundboards, at least in the strict definitional sense.

Stupid question - what does "ALD" mean in regards to a recording of a show?

Assisted Listening Device available at some venues for the hearing impaired and/or would-be illicit recorder....

What are they in the strict sense? And what is ALD? Thanks in advance.

ALD = Assisted Listening Device, its that system they have @ venues for hearing impaired folks to tune into whats happening. I guess the tapers use some sort of receiver to pick up the signal & record it. Usually mono I think, & the sound quality is different to a feed from the sndbd, not bad tho...

the source of the material that made up boots like Dirty Licks are from the rs.com videos, which are not from the soundboards - and, in fact, are lossy compressed sources....
