i was in L.A last in 1999.stayed at a hotel opposite the chinese theatre ? the old place where they used to have "this is your life" was it called the roosevelt ? i cant remember !

yeah, that's the Roosevelt Hotel.....i live about 3 miles from it....only problem in this town, as you probably figured out, is that without a car, it's tough to get around.....also, if ya ever come back, Amoeba records (about 1 mile from the Roosevelt) in hollywood is an unbelievable experience for record shoppers.....i was in there for 4 hours the first time....way off topic...sorry

I'm a little fuzzy on some of the dates. My ticket stubs are at home; I'm at the office. Do you have songs from any of these. That one in 1978 was a big show with backup vocals, a horn section, the works. I remember a great call and answer gospel style singing on Like A Rolling Stone when the back up women sang, "How does it feel," and then Dylan would reply with the next line. Powerful stuff

Yeah Erik. I had no idea a bootleg existed. I think Billy's going to hook me up. I loved the show but was still young and didn't know what to compare it to. Were you there? I saw Neil Young there a month or so earlier at the same venue (The "Old" Charlotte Coliseum).

Given that the Super Bowl will be in Miami next year, and given that there was such an uproar about the exclusion of Motown from this halftime show, it'll probably be someone like Gloria Estefan, or some other "local talent" from the Miami area. Either that or a down-south country theme. Both would be revolting.

Considering that AC/DC has a record and tour this year....hmmmmm.

But I got the bootleg some years ago. I think that's the Dylan boot I've played the most. I hope you had good seats!
