I think his night at the fights may have energized him. Everyone seems to think he played well on Sunday. The sight of the 47-year-old "Hit Man" slugging it out in the ring may well have been an inspiration to him.

I hope he doesnt follow Hearns' example - because he's been shot for almost 20 years, his speech has been slurred for just as long and should have retired in 1989

Hearns is still one of the most underrated boxers of all time. He cleaned out Hands of Stone, gave Sugar more than he could handle twice (although he didn't hang on in the first fight & got KOd) and went the "greatest 3 rounds in boxing history" with the Marvelous one.

correct on all counts, although unfortunately the last of those fights was in 1989

Its quite sad to see him still fighting at 47..I mean, even his SON was fighting on the same bill! If that isnt a clear sign that youve been around too long, I dont know what is!
