What Are You Watching? Stones or the game??

I love football and have watched every Super Bowl since 72, but having the Stones vastly will decrease the piss breaks during halftime!! The NFL did release a dvd last year of the game w/ the complete Paul performance and I can only imagine that they'll do the same this year!!. can't wait!!

Both. I watch Football once a year and that's the Superbowl. The Stones adds to that by being the best band ever, and I'm gonna eat some HUGE friggin' spareribs and drink SO much Cola that I'm gonna puke.

Watch the Stones, not the no-brains, big muscles football players banging their heads together.....

The game???????
A sport which I don't know its rules?????
A sport that pretends to be named as Football when players don't play with their feet???????

Football is football...

My mom is throwing a Super Bowl party. I am going for the beer. Will try not to pass out before the Stones come on. Football is pretty boring unless there is some sort of serious injury which makes it only slightly interesting.

you know, you can watch both. They play at halftime. The teams will not be playing while the Stones perform. so I will watch both!

Probably both as I'm having a buddy of mine over and he's a huge Seahawks fan. But I'll be waiting for the half-time show with the Stones. Hopefully, Lisa Fischer will pull a Janet Jackson! grinning smiley

just curious - are there any of you who were actually going to the game ANYWAY as a supporter of either side regardless of the fact that your favourite band is playing as well?

Jaxx, my co-admin on RO, actually got an early flight back from the Stones shows in NYC to see the Broncos-Steelers AFC championship game in Denver and, as a Broncos fan would have gone to Detroit anyway had they won, as they were expected to do. Unfortunately for her, they got their asses handed to them - so no Superbowl and no Stones. Quite a bummer for any fans hoping their team would get to the Superbowl as that 'double header' will never happen again.

What better combo, my favorite band and my favorite sporting event at the same time! GO STEELERS! Break a leg Stones, I know they'll blow the roof off the place! Hopefully the sound will be right on the money, unlike the American Music Awards. Disgusting sound, horrific cutaway from the band!

We just got a 52" wide screen HD Tele - son & friends watch the game, I'm coming down at half time and kicking everybody out - it's 'the boys' for me, can't wait. I hope they come screaming thru everyone's TV and kick us in the ass with some attitude (one can only hope!) Oh boy, might have to call in sick Monday. I guess if they're doing warhorses - go with 'JJF', Tumbling Dice, maybe Start Me Up? - but would love a surprise as a stones fan (not likely, we all get it) . . .we'll see.

You got to roll me. . . . .
