Paul Tagliabue has asked to meet with Mr. Jagger. I'm wondering if Tagliabue is going to try to censor the Stones. What do you guys think of him asking for this meeting?

He'll make it the watered down version of The Stones. I'm not hyping it too much with my buddies. I don't want to hear their shit if it's too "safe and predictible".

That's my problem as well with the Super Bowl thing. When I want the Stones, I want THE STONES!! If it's watered down, then it's a disappointment for me. I would have liked to know that the Stones would not cave in.

90% of what the STons do does not need to be sensored anyway. The Stones are wanting to broaden thier audience by doing the Super Bowl not cause a Janet JAckson deal. Janet Jackson had to pull a stunt because SHE HAS NO TALENT.

Tagliabue eprobaly just wnats to make sure they are on the same page.

If they have to be politically correct and clean in their lyrics that doesn't leave them much of a catalog to choose from.

jim morrison on the other hand basically told Sullivan to F-off when he played his own lyrics.. one othe the best qoutes ever... When a reporter asked if he was disappointed that he would never play on Ed Sullivan again-- Morrison said " Ed Sullivan we already played that show why would we want to do it again?"

That wsa soemthing like 40 years ago- no comparsion. There is stuff on TV now that would have been XXX at a movie theater in 1965. Unless the STones were to play someting obscure or way out of line like Some Girls or STar Star, nothing they usuaully play in concert would be offensive. Even Brown Sugar most people don't have a clue what Micks saying (unless maybe Claudia is one of teh dancers)

They bleeped them during two songs on nfl opening night. Rough Justice and SMU.

Didn't know that. Then the halftime show will problaly be on 5-second delay so they can bleep anthing they want.

Mick promised he would show both tits during Superbowl half time... After the Janet Jackson tit "accident" they run with a two minutes or so delay of the broadcast as far as I know. And the Stones have restrictions of what songs they can do and what they can say. It is an NFL family event. So no Star Star and no Mick saying "you are a f***ng great audience". Stones at Superbowl halftime will probably be like the press conference in May except they can't do Oh No Not You Again but Rough Justice is more popular so that is ok. If they do something more edgy I would be impressed but I don't expect it.
