Some of your dates are wrong. He performed How Can I Stop one time in '98. Connection was performed in '95. Hope this helps

i figured some of the dates may be off a bit.....i just listed dates that i saw where these songs had been performed...but i realize they may have been done on other tours as well......

forgot to list how can i stop......of course....

wasn't sure if connection performed in 95 in europe was keith or the stones with mick on vocals.....so thanks for clarifying that as well.

so that brings the list to 17 songs that keith has performed during stones concerts.....not bad.

Unfortunately,

I was at the Show January 14th 1998 at MSG when he sang "How Can I Stop"

The Stones return to MSG after 17 years!!!! What a let down!

By The way...He did "You Don't Have To Mean It" the next show 1/16/98 at MSG.

Wow! and to think most people think he just sings "HAPPY"!

This Place Is Empty is a keeper!

Sure the One You Need: june 6th (kansas city) and june 8th (milwaukee), 1975

and if Worried Life Blues was really performed at the El Mo in 77 (which is pretty dubious), wouldn't it be Keith who sang lead?

nope...Keith's solo song at every '78 show was 'Happy'

Before they make me run was never played live at a Stones show until Shea Stadium in 1989.

before they make me run was performed with the new barbarians in 1979.

it was..hence my post about it never being played at stones' shows until 89

if youre counting solo/NB gigs then thats a different list entirely, though

i was wondering...why didn't keith sing bttmr on that 78 tour? they played almost every some girls song, was a great song, and keith usually sings the new songs on tour...Any ideas?

On the Largo New Barbarians DVD i've got, before they sing BTMMR Woody says this is a song from last year that we didn't do live. so i don't think it was done in '78.

>> i don't think it was done in '78. <<

as Gazza said: it wasn't. maybe because during the 78 tour it wasn't yet real clear that Keith was going to be allowed to walk.

>> Before They Make Me Run was performed with the New Barbarians in 1979. <<

so were a bunch of other numbers - but the subject is what Keith has sung lead on at Stones concerts, right?
i'd also include shared leads: Memory Motel (94, 95, 97, 98, 99, 06) and I'm Alright (63, 64, 65, 66).
(actually i'd also change the title of the thread - if the subject is what numbers Keith has *performed* on stage with the Stones: practically all of them,
with a couple of fragmentary exceptions like Country Honk at Knebworth 76 and Melody at Nijmegen 95.)

of course.....if it were simply songs keith performed on.....it would be a VERY long list....

as ssoul has pointed out however....what i am really looking for are songs where keith sang LEAD....with either mick backing up as in happy in 75 and 78....or mick taking a break and giving keith the mic and the band....

thanks to those who have added to this list.

it's a long way to tipperary!!!! wow!!!!

Yeah, Connection was played during the VL tour. How about "Appartment #9" which he played with the New Barbarians? But I guess you mean exclusively Keith performances with the Stones.

Does anyone have this '95 version of Connection to share? Or Tipperary from 2003?

Did Keith sing Sure the One You Need with the Stones or as a solo act?

Thanks!

Keith sang Sure the One You Need on stage with the Stones twice in 75,
once with Ron Wood & Band in 74 and multiple times with the New Barbarians in 79.
don't know of any *solo* appearances where he sang it ... but hey, whenever he's ready! :E

Tipperary's in the rs.com archives, if you can access that site ...

How about a list of songs from Stones albums that he hasn't done at a Stones concert?Coming Down Again,Too Rude (done at solo shows),Sleep Tonight,Losing My Touch, and I guess we can throw in Hurricane. The first time they did Connection in '95 it was both Jagger and Richards on vocals and then after that it was Richards.

hm, it used to be in the Licks video archives - er ... or was that You Take the High Road? sorry! it looks like they've taken it down.
but we do need to add You Take the High Road (aka Loch Lomand) to the list - Glasgow, september 3rd 2003 ...

nothing dire - some members of the band improvised brief bits of these between the regularly-scheduled numbers, just for fun.

thats them all, basically

correct...it was a duet at the Paradiso (was this the only time since 1978 theyve done this....did they share a mic that night?) and I think the first time it was played during keith's solo set was in Paris

Is what Keef does now actually considered SINGING?????

What about "Salt of the Earth" when those two inbeciles from Gun & Roses were on stage???

Best I´ve seen you typed sofar, Frankie: inbeciles on G&R.
Yup, Keith sings. Sure does...
Go find a Lee Marvin-record & you´ll sort out the difference...
