The Real Problem with Chuck

Chuck is a good musician, that is indisputable. I just hate his smile; looks like a bloody Las Vegas showgirl. A perfect example of this is available on the Bridges to Babylon DVD - check out his "million-dollar" grin as he plays the opening notes to Let's Spend the Night Together. Enough to make a grown man cry.

His smile doesn't really detract from the recordings much

Funny indeed.
I don't get why people get so serious against Chuck-haters. It's not like there's a rational reason to hate him. It's not about his music, it's about the smile smiling smiley

let's not forget about his beard, too. I mean he has really dragged the band down with that thing....

I really hate the way he dresses. He should wear an orange jumpsuit on stage.

How about his soccer rocker of a hair cut. That was awful on the VL tour.

Chuck doesnt' have a problem. The jokers who bash him have the problem. Who cares how he dresses or wears his hair? Do you plan on dating him? If he is good enough for Mick and Keith, he is alright by me.

Thank Chuck for encouraging the boys to play different songs and keeping them on their toes. Someone has to do it. Chuck doesn't sacrifice a single note as others do while posing. Anyone come to mind? I am not referring to Woody either.

I met Chuck and he happens to be a very cool guy.

I think Chuck needs a swinging cage that flies over the B stage as it's docking.
Throw a couple of snakes in, put Lisa in a dominatrix suit, and let Keith and Ronnie poke him with their guitars until he pistol whips Mick into playing "Let It Loose."

I agree with this, too. He has a lame of "business-casual" thing going. Like an accountant out for a martini after a hard day at the office.

the real problem with chuck is that he thinks he is a stone and he is not,
if stu wasnt a stone how dare this person think that he is

Chuck dose'nt have a problem hes a dam good key board player and an important part of the Stones. The problem is with the people who are talking bad about him who cares what he wears on stage hes not making a fashion statement and so he likes to smile did it ever cross your mind that mabe he is having a good time and is happy. Damm there are too many jackasses on this board.

Chuck's pretty good for the stones. I'm a keyboard player and would love that gig. Yeah, he could stay behind the core band some more, but what the hell. And if it's true that he's kind of pushing the band to do deeper stuff, great! We're all better off for it, both the fans and Mick & Keith so what's wrong with that?

At this point, the whole gang will be with them until the last gig. They spent more time with the Stones than Mick T., Brian, Nicky or even Stu (Chuck's is reaching the 24 years with the Stones now)

I think he needs to smoke a load of dope with Keef, that's all.

Oily.

I hate him 'cause he hunts, he kills animals for fun....

Then. Leteyer, you will have to hate hundreds of generations before us.
If there were no hunters, we would have ecological disasters:
wolves chasin & consumin animal rights fighters in Dark Suburbia &
city centers. Rock on!

Heh, there haven't been Chuck bashing threads for a long time smiling smiley Maybe that is a sign of that people start to realize that the big presence of Chuck is not the cause of the musical downhill of the current Stones, but a consequence of it. The problem lies in somewhere else, in the very core of the band. Chuck is just covering someone else's ass. I was just watching the live performances of Gimme Shelter movie the other day, and thinking about who of those five blokes is the "musical director" of the band - how did manage without a person like Chuck for so long smiling smiley Irony, folks..

I think you envy him. He is a nice guy and liking or disliking a person because of his/her face is not really good. It is personal but not something you can use as an arugument against the guy.
