Ok, I'll concede that point to you. But I'm not going to debate whether this is a positive development or not, because every time anyone starts getting into a discussion on this board about religion or politics, people get upset and the thread ends up getting deleted anyway. Which is fine with me; there are plenty of places on the internet to discuss religion and politics, but this isn't one of them. This is one of the few places one can come and discuss the Stones.

It would be terrific to hear "NeoCon" and it would take a lot of huevos on their part to bust it out. Then again, I can't think of a better way for the Stones to kick off their European tour. It would be far more bold than Janet Jackson's fake sugar-coated papayas. The Stones could be choose to play it safe and break out "NeoCon" during their stint in the U.K. where the reaction would certainly be more positive. But it would be like preaching to the choir and that takes away from the live performance of the song. Playing that song at the Super Bowl would be a huge coup.

I never said anything about them showing anyone riding a tongue. If I had commented on that, I would have said it isn't an approriate thing to show in front of a national television audience. Get your facts straight.

You're so right, how could I think there is any censorship and oppression in America? It's not as if the ruling party constantly accuses anyone who speaks out against them of being unpatriotic and aiding terrorists. And it's not as if people burned copies of the Dixie Chicks' CDs or banned them from radio stations after they made one comment against Bush. And of course, the U.S. government would never spy on any of its citizens without a warrant from the courts. Yep, none of that ever happened. And even if it did, there are other countries like Cuba where things are worse, so that makes it all ok!
