Keith's gonna hang out at home in Connecticut... why would he languish around Manhattan for a day and a half if he doesn't have to ? It's around an hour/ hour & a half drive home in good traffic... there's prolly a train that runs close to his place out of Grand Central or Penn Central too. Lotsa choices.
Heck, Keith just might skip Friday's gig and let CC Deville fill in for him.
