LOL That is one of the funniest scenes ever when Charlie is singing backstage in that movie. God, talk about tonedeaf!
Seiously, I wonder what CW is doing in that photo. It looks like some kind of soundcheck. It almost looks like Charlie is getting the mike ready for Jagger, which just strikes me as odd.
BTW Charlie has of course never sunbg anything. They get him to announce a song every now and then. In the old days he did it regularly. Usually got it wrong too. There is one well knoiwn incident that cracks the whole band up when he announces a song that they already have played.

In the liner notes for 'Bridges To Babylon,' Charlie is credited as "Drums/Background Vocals" on the song "Always Suffering." I've always thought that was odd. Misprint? Inside joke?

a joke, it would appear. Charlie was asked about it in an AOL online chat in 1998 and he said he knew nothing about it

i reckon Chelsea's referring to the Honolulu 66 recording, where Charlie's asked to introduce something - i may have it the wrong way wrong, but:
as usual, Charlie starts with "now we'd like to play one of our favourite numbers ... " and he comes up with The Last Time, which they'd already played.
the band cracks up, and Mick says something like "no! we played that years ago!" (it was supposed to be Lady Jane, if memory serves.)
at the 1964 NME Awards gig Charlie also needs some help recalling which of their favourite numbers they're going to play (that time it was I'm Alright).

I was at a Stones concert in the '60's where Charlie introduced "Lady Jane".

with sssoul is right, except I think it's Brian who starts laughing and corrects Charlie. Charlie does indeed announce 'The Last Time,' which they had played only 3 (I believe) songs previous. That's the Honolulu concert, where the band sounds great, incidentally.

On the Paris Olympia 65 bootleg, Charlie introduces Little Red Rooster.
