lots of gaps during the Latin Amarica tour?

Do you think they will add more dates during the latin America tour? They skipped it altogether during the Licks tour and now they only visit Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and Puerto Rico? That seems a bit meager. I thought they would travel all around the place? This tour looks like Licks in some way, don't you think?

Maybe slide on over to Chile too. Thery are so huge down there and have the most fiery fans too that they just have to play somne more. Maybe they are waiting for that gigantic event in Rio to fall into pl;ace before they set more smaller dates up. Have they ever played Uruguay? Man, no band has played more countries than the Stones. One of these days they need to tour Africa. At the very least they could play Cairo and Tripoli; Casablanca...What a gas: LIVE FROM CASABLANCA!!

There is the six day gap between the San Juan and Rio dates. But if you look at the 2005 tour schedule, you will find there is a break after each month of shows (see Albany-Columbus, Charlotte-Calgary, etc). I don't think there will be any shows between Feb 11th and 18th.

No.

Though not a "tour of Africa", they did play in Johannesburg in 1995.

San Juan is to all intents and purposes a North American show. By then they'll have been on the road for a month, so will almost certainly take a week off

I cant see how anyone can say there are 'lots of gaps' in the Latin American leg - theres no more than two days off at any time between Rio and Monterrey so theres no room for additinal shows.

There are quite considerable distances between each of those cities, dont forget.

Unless they add a show before Rio, there wont be any more shows in South America. Pretty shameful that after missing out entirely last time, that entire region - a part of the world where the Stones claim to love playing - only gets three shows. To miss playing Sao Paulo - the biggest city in Brazil (and if I'm not wrong, South America) - is unbelievable.

They seem on the verge to do the same error in Japan, Australia and N-Zealand.
I know we have to be aware of crew, logistics and so on.... But how come other artist currently can fill out massive stadiums in those continents and not the Stones. Maybe they prefer to eat the US to the bones in arenas. Yesterday, I received my fan club DVD. I went thru it and listened to Mick and Keith thoroughly talking about new territories. I suppose they were talking about Vegas.

well, the Japan shows have been confirmed. I would still expect a couple of shows down under too

guess!

well, yeah, despite all the bullshit about playing other countries the bottom line is that they'll go where the most money is. They can make more money playing an arena show in the US - even though it might be their 2nd or 3rd trip to that city this tour - than they can in playing a stadium show in South America. Its also a lot easier to arrange logistically. They'll get several million for the free show in Rio so it'll be worth their while, helped also by the DVD and Tv rights and merchandise profits from a 1 million plus crowd, but its quite obvious they dont want to spend any more time in that part of the world than they have to, when they can make bigger profits from shows elsewhere

yep.,.next tour it'll be a tour of different Vegas casinos!!

I can suggest, as Mick has real estate in France, that he can plan to tour in 2008 at the Enghien Casino located 20 mn North of Paris. Nice Area, rich people. They can book there for 2 weeks at 1,000 € a seat. Audience capacity should be 300 people. No logistics problems of any kind. It's woth the dime.
