This is from timeisonourside.com, the Track Talk about Little T&A:

(The guitar sound is) our equivalent of that rockabilly thing. I think you'll find that comes from using a lot of analog delay on Ron's guitar or my guitar or both of them, and I dampen it. That'll give you that ticka-tacka-ticka. I always use that green MXR analog delay. I'm told it's quite out of date now and old-fashioned, but Ig ot it free and I forgot that time marches on and they make better ones or so they say. I don't know. I've worked very well with those MXR things, and they've been very reliable.

Wood used it on the 1978 tour for LOve in Vain, and it was used
to great effect on the '81 tour. I loved those MXR boxes from the late '70's.
They were really solid. You can still find them on ebay.

Don't buy the MXR reissues from Dunlop. The good MXR pedals have no LED light to let you know when they turn on, those are the originals from Rochester NY, the Script Logos being the oldest. The guys who made MXR pedals now make effects under the name Applied Reseach Technology, or ART.

Yes, the real MXRs are solid metal, damp colors. Nothing fancy there. Great to this day. Prefer them by lightyears over any rack affair or one of those multi sound deal; the ones that are practically a synth. they always have the WORST distortion, totally synthetic, always coupled with a Chorus.
Their delays, even the dry ones, just don't cut it. (I mean the fancified ones) MXR rules.
