He'd best start painting again. Beggar's Banquet went for $1,000,000 and he sold $2,000,000+ in Vegas alone.

No way he could have blown his take from this tour yet. Yes, he may well have made bad financial decisions, but he isn't starving.

Playing is a lot more work than posing and he is burning calories this tour!

Why can't Rock Stars, Movie Stars and Sports Heros just buy T-bills and be happy with what they have rather than trying to get even richer by giving their money to unproven morons to invest in get rich quick schemes? These are the same dimwits we are supposed to listen to for political advice?

No matter how rich you are it is never enough.

It's an article from 2004, and I suppose that this statement from Ron was focused on his situation in the 80's, when he was bankrupt and started again to paint artworks, just get some money...

Keep on rollin'

YOUR RIGHT... ronnie didn't care much about money in the 1970's..who does when your young..funny thing was he ask for just $100,000, when he hit the road for the stones in 1975...but then again $100,000 was a lot in 1975.
today woodie and the rest have pros taking care of their investments..so no woodie not going under..

bill did pretty good for himself with the stones...so did taylor, reported that taylor made $20,000,00 in the 5 plus years with the band..not bad..but if you spend it all and never invested for a rainy day...well who's fault is that?
bill w. said that he left after the wheels tour when the money was really big..
wood was smart enough to stay with the band...now he's getting what he should..and for some people hear its too much...ha.

Ronnie hemmoraged money into "The Harrington Club" in London, a joint that's probably shut down by now.

Apparently his wife was the "manager"...

I've heard some people say that restaurants/clubs are bad business... look at the fortune Burt Reynolds lost in all those failed clubs of his...

Details on Harrington Club here:

I would think that he gets fairly decent royalties from his Faces era as well as Rod Stewart solo material. He co wrote songs like Stay With Me and Gasoline Alley.

Don't be so sure...

He's probably making out okay, but if he has one lousy investment from a lousy investment advisor, he probably has a whole dog full of fleas...

It wouldn't surprise me if he's in hock to his eyebrows on bad deals and needs serious help getting this shit un-wound...

And absolutely no doubt he prolly has a very high monthly overhead nut.

"Richer" people than Ron Wood have turned up stone cold flat-butt broke.

Hi Midnight toker,

Ron didn't co write Maggie May. He played on it, though. He did cowrite Every Picture Tells a Story along with the previous two I mentioned.

In many ways this is pretty telling...

Ron Wood doesn't have an extra 8 million bucks to throw away, without feelin' it...

And where there's an 8 million loss, there's probably a bigger one...

When you work that hard all your life, and you hit 60 and much of what you've accumulated is scattered to the 4 winds, it can put a crimp in your style...

People blather about Ronnie having a drinking problem.... well he's been drinking all his life, but what's new may be all this financial chaos...

Chaos is chaos and disruptive, whether it's drink, dope, or messy finances.

Beggars Banquet was bought by someone in Japan.

An original of Faces went for close to $500,000 in Vegas and there were 4 other originals that went for $150,000. An original called "Keith Jumping Into The Blue" went for $45,000. He can sell giclees all day long for $2500-$5000.

His reputation as an artist is growing and much of recent work is in great demand. The prices will only go up.
